Designing a privacy-first
dealer program
We're rebuilding our dealer offering from scratch. Privacy comes first.
Our commitment to you, the buyer
When you check a VIN on CarHistoryReport.ca, your search is private. We do not share which vehicles you look at with anyone — not dealerships, not auto manufacturers, not marketing partners.
If we ever launch a dealer program, it will be structured so that dealers pay us for value they bring to customers — not for surveillance of customer research. We will publish the privacy guarantee here before any dealer feature ships.
What we're thinking about
We're exploring dealer-facing offerings that flip the traditional model. Instead of selling customer search data to dealers, we believe dealers should pay us for services that add real value to their inventory presentation and customer experience.
White-label inventory reports
Dealers pre-generate Smart Buyer Reports for their own inventory and embed them as "Full Vehicle Report Available" badges on listings. Buyers see verified, AI-analyzed reports before contacting the dealer — building trust upfront.
Customer hand-off reports
Dealers purchase Smart Buyer Reports in bulk to include free with vehicle sales. The customer receives a complete, independent report from CarHistoryReport.ca — strengthening the dealer's credibility through transparency.
Aggregated market intelligence
Anonymized, regional trend reports showing which makes and models are most researched in a given province or city. Helps dealers stock smarter without any individual buyer being identified.
What you will not see from us: alerts when individual consumers research specific VINs. We consider that a violation of customer trust, regardless of commercial upside.
Are you a dealer?
Email us to discuss what would actually help your operation. We're actively designing the program now and want dealer input before launch.
