Certain vehicles may have been built with reduced corrosion protection on the left rear under body ladder rail. This could cause the affected area to corrode prematurely, which could result in the left rear seat mount to become loose or reduce the strength of the rear floor pan, increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupants in the event of a crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect the under body ladder rail and apply rust protection, or if deemed unrepairable, FCA will review further.

On certain vehicles, an electronic fault may create a situation where the cruise control cannot be deactivated. If this occurs and the driver does not apply the brakes or shift the transmission to neutral, the vehicle could maintain speed or accelerate without warning, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software and perform an update as necessary. Note: In the interim, owners are advised not to use the cruise control until the vehicle is repaired.

On certain vehicles, the steering intermediate shaft may not have been properly manufactured. If the shaft were to fail, the steering response could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace the steering intermediate shaft as necessary.

Certain vehicles may have been built with a defective powertrain controller. If the powertrain controller fails while driving the engine may stall, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will replace the powertrain controller.

Certain vehicles may have been built with an improperly welded front track bar bracket. This could result in the bracket separating from the frame, which would reduce steering response and increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and repair the front track bar bracket welds as necessary. Note: Prior to complete separation of the bracket from the frame, a driver may notice a front end noise, an off-center steering wheel position, a “Service Electronic Stability Control” message and/or Electronic Stability control light on in the instrument cluster.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the liftgate glass may have an incorrect marking. Canadian regulations require a marking to identify the type of glass that is used. Safety Risk: This error is unlikely to affect safety. Corrective Action: This is not a recall. This notice is for information only. The company has made changes to ensure that all new vehicles have glass that is marked correctly.

Issue: On certain vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, there would be a loss of power to the wheels. A broken pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Safety Risk: A sudden of loss power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others, and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the clutch system, install a protective hose sleeve, reroute a wire harness, and replace components as necessary

Issue: In certain circumstances, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, the pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine and a manual transmission. Safety Risk: Debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others, and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update vehicle software. This update will reduce the engine power if the clutch overheats.

Issue: Under certain conditions, the clutch pressure plate could overheat and break. If this happens, the pressure plate may also crack or break the transmission case. This could cause debris to fall from the vehicle. Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.6 L engine and a manual transmission. Vehicles repaired under FCA Canada recalls Y01, Y03 and Y07 (Transport Canada recall 2021-035) also require this repair. Safety Risk: Debris from an overheated and fractured pressure plate could contact nearby parts and increase the risk of a fire. Parts that fall from the vehicle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to tale your vehicle to a dealership to replace the clutch assembly. The dealer will also inspect and, if necessary, update the instrument panel cluster and powertrain control module software.

Issue: On certain vehicles, the instrument panel cluster could stop working. As a result, warnings, tell-tales and gauges may not display. Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 3.5" instrument cluster panel. Safety Risk: Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don't display could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the instrument panel cluster.
